A gift from the heart
Donate Food
We accept donations of perishable and non-perishable food items. Perishable items, such as produce, meat and dairy, can only be donated at our warehouse. This ensures we can store it at the correct temperatures and get it to our clients as soon as possible. Non-perishable items are accepted at most grocery stores and food drives.
Help fill each emergency food hamper with food to make healthy meals. Our hampers contain 52% non-perishable items, 28% perishables and 20% grains.

Donating your harvest
Donating at the food bank
We love when people donate their harvest from their garden, it’s a fantastic way for us to add fresh produce to the food hampers. Bring your harvest to our warehouse so we can store it at the proper temperature and add to hampers right away!
Sorry, we don’t accept …
Many people aren’t sure what to do with crab apples and rhubarb, we find it very hard to give them away to clients and agencies.
Community owned. Community supported.

Hygiene Items
Often when clients come to us, food is not their only insecurity. Hygiene products are often expensive and difficult for those in need to acquire. Products like shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and deodorant are put in hampers for those who express a need.

Pet Food
Whether they talk with their beaks or walk on four feet, our pets are cherished parts of our family and they need just as much help, love and nutrition as we do. Help feed furry family members by donating pet food and treats.

Baby items
Our baby hampers are provided to our youngest clients, newborns and infants up to 12 months old. We accept donations of baby food (Stages 1, 2 and 3), infant formula (Stages 1 and 2), and diapers (the most needed diaper sizes are 4, 5 and 6). We accept unopened and opened packages of diapers.
Birthday party Kits
The birthday room is a special place at the Food Bank. Birthday party kits are available for children aged one to 12, who might not otherwise enjoy the luxury of a birthday party. We accept donations of bags, cards, party supplies, books, art and school supplies, games, toys, cakes mixes, icing, balloons and candles.
Donating Food
Are you donating from food industry?
Our vital Food Industry partnerships provide 80% of our food donations. This tremendous support helps out people who need help with food, but more importantly, it helps them to focus on the challenges they need to address to prevent future food insecurity.
