Stuff A Bus

A standard 40-foot bus can carry about 70 passengers, but how much food can it carry? Calgary Transit, Calgary Co-op and XL 103 FM are joining forces once again to collect donations for the Calgary Food Bank.

Help Calgarians facing food insecurity

Stuff a bus to feed YYC

On Saturday, November 14, 2020, Calgary Co-op, Calgary Transit and Stingray Media are joining forces for the annual Stuff A Bus event. Although things are going to look a little different this year, we are excited to still see you! While shopping at your local Calgary Co-op, purchase a wish list item and put it on the bus or make a donation through the till. Not shopping on November 14 but still want to support Stuff A Bus? Consider making a donation online!

We’ve been working hard to ensure that all donors, volunteers and staff stay safe as we raise food and funds to support those facing food insecurity in our city. All volunteers will be wearing masks and practicing proper hand sanitizing measures. When you arrive to make your donation on the bus you’ll enter through the front door, leave your donations on one of the bus seats and then exit through the back door.

Thank you for continuing to support the Calgary Food Bank through the Stuff A Bus event, we are so grateful that we will safely be out in community again this year.

“Every November for the past 27 years we’ve provided buses and volunteers for this special event. Dozens of Calgary Transit employees volunteer their time to support the Calgary Food Bank and give back to our community. It’s impressive to see how this event has grown from raising $3,000 to $10,000 worth of food and cash donations in the early years to raising over $302,000 in 2019. Stuff A Bus has become one of the largest single-day food drives for the Calgary Food Bank, and we are extremely proud to be part of this.”
